Noctu Trails is an app designed for night hiking, stargazing, and astrophotography. It helps users discover locations with clear views of the night sky, away from the light pollution of large cities, and reconnect with the sense of wonder that comes from looking up at the stars.
The name Noctu is inspired by the word nocturnal, referring to something that lives, moves, or takes place during the night. It reflects the mysterious atmosphere of the project and the nocturnal world of owls, bats, and other animals that become active after dark.
For Noctu Trails, I developed the visual identity and designed the foundations of the digital experience. The project included the logo, colour palette, user experience structure, and a selection of user interface screens. Together, these elements create a cohesive visual language that captures the mystery of the night while keeping the app accessible, functional, and easy to navigate.
